Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsernal, admitted that the priorities of the club would be outgoings in the January transfer window.
Arteta’s so bloated that many senior players have failed to make the Premier League squad.
Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos are obvious candidates to leave as they were left out of the squad at the beginning of the season, with Ozil earning £350,000 a week and Sokratis earning £92,000 per week.
Sead Kolasinac, who is said to gain £ 100,000-a-week, has returned on loan to Schalke, while Shkodran Mustafi, on £ 90,000-a-week, has emerged as Barcelona’s potential target and Arsenal will certainly be able to get him off the wage bill.
Cedric Soares, £ 75,000-a-week, with Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles ahead of him in the pecking order, still struggles to provide value for money.
In an attempt to get regular game time, the likes of Calum Chambers (£50,000-a-week), William Saliba (£40,000-a-week) and Reiss Nelson (£15,000-a-week) may also be sent out on loan.
