Southampton vs Arsenal: Keown suggest the player leave as Odegaard arrives

Southampton vs Arsenal:

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown, with the imminent arrival of Martin Odegaard, has tipped Dani Ceballos to leave the club.

An agreement was reached by the Gunners to sign Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid.

In 2015, the 22-year-old joined the Spanish giants but has made just eight LaLiga appearances for the club.

On four different loan transfers, the Norwegian midfielder has been shipped out.

Odegaard is set for another spell away, with the Emirates looking likely to be his next destination.

Keown is delighted that Mikel Arteta will add to his midfield choices, but has indicated the arrival of the Norwegian will mean the end for Ceballos.

“I’m assuming Arsenal are all over it. He [Odegaard] brings that quality into the midfield. It’s an area Arsenal need to strengthen.

“Does that mean [Dani] Ceballos will go? He’s on loan as well. Is he going to get football? Real Madrid may be concerned, he hasn’t played that much so far,” Keown told talk SPORT.
